Our custom shoppe does all they can to produce our fine 1/2 log mantles, however, these mantles are made from wood and not all are alike. They are very unique in themselves alone. Some contain more knots then others, some will have check marks (small cracks), some will not. Log mantles are not the only custom wood product that we produce and are not a stock item. Each is custom made per your order and will take roughly 2 weeks to manufacture before shipping. We will make every effort to contact you in the event that your order will run longer then the 2 weeks.....most are complete in 1 1/2 weeks or less.
Our mantles are provided unfinished or prefinished with clear Lacquer (please allow an additional 1 week timeframe for prefinish). Each log mantle has been kiln dried to 10-12% moisture content and are ready to accept a clear coat or stain of your choosing. We recommend using 3 coats of Sikkens Cetol BL if you choose to finish on your own.
Each set of custom scribed cradles includes (4)-6" & (4)-8" timber screws for mounting (added 12-11-07)
