"I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your organization and your products. I recently purchased 3550 ft of your 2x8 Log Siding and 1/2 a bunk of your 2x4 cedar. The product was absolutely beautiful. I was expecting to find some unusable boards, but to my surprise there was not a single board that was unusable - not even one that was in semi-rough shape. And I do have to say that the information provided about hanging the siding is exactly right. It was a dream to work with. With the T&G on all four sides, it went up quickly and smoothly! It only took me approximately 5 days to hang all the siding (and that includes trimming out doors and windows)!!! With respect to your company, ever person I dealt with was pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. The gentleman that delivered the product was pleasant, courteous, and very helpful unloading the siding. Again, I just wanted to say thank-you for everything. Shipping: Shipping is provided by Fed-Ex Freightways or Con-way Freightways. Our company ships large quantities daily with each carrier and our shipping discounts are passed on to you the customer! For orders in excess of 1500 sq. ft., we have our own delivery service that may be the more econonical choice. Please call for more info and a detailed pricing quote. (800-818-9971)
Each order that is shipped by Fed-Ex or Con-way takes about 1 to 1-1/2 weeks to be pulled, packaged & then shipped. You will be provided with a tracking number at shipment so that you can get an idea of when your shipment will be arriving.
Freight Shipments are by small enclosed semi-trucks, most residential deliveries will be to the end of your driveway at roadside. If your street/driveway is winding through the woods, not snow plowed or is unaccessible for the freight truck, your delivery might be to the nearest point of access. You can also set up off-loading with a local lumber yard in some cases.
You must be able to off-load the material in a timely manner and would require that you have adequate/able bodies on-hand (2-3) to hand unload if a fork lift was not available at your delivery location. The drivers have many other destinations, so your cooperation is very helpful.
Each driver is aware of the packages and the condition of each as you off-load. In the unlikely event that you notice any apparent damage, have the damages noted on the delivery receipt and call The Log Home Shoppe/The Woodworkers Shoppe immediately to have your replacements sent out and to have the claim processed. At the very least, sign your delivery receipt as "Accept upon further concealed inspection" and if you notice any damage a day or two later, call us immediately. You must do so within 10 days of receipt of the materials.
